Continue Reading »My kitchen cabinet would have to be altered to accomodate the farmhouse, or apron front but I’m seeing it in lots of magazines and it looks cool Opinions please!
farmhouse – look good in country/traditional kitchens but aren’t that practical. due to the fact they are mostly ceramic, they scratch easily and discolour. they are also heavy and water spillages can easily get down the sides of them, eventually damaging the unit below.
undermounted – probably the most practical sink you can get. looks sleek in stainless steel, but again scratches easily. fully sealed with silicone, so very little water spills around the sides. sealant may wear over time but easily gets re-sealed.
large bowl – obvious advantage is the sheer size.
divided bowls – less overall size per bowl but can do 2 things at once if necessary. e.g wash veg in one, dirty dishes in another. generally more practical in my opinion.
